O’R MAEN Digestives Llanwrst Conwy Valley | Windmill Stoneground | PDO
O’R MAEN Wholemeal Digestives from Llanwrst, Conwy Valley
The wheat is grown by farmer Emyr and his family who have been farming in the Conwy Valley since the 1900's.
The wheat is stoneground at the last working windmill in Wales at Melin Llynon.
The Master Baker Anthony's family bakery (Scilicorns Bakery 1881) 1 mile down the road turns the stoneground wheat in to wholesome tasty biscuits hand baked to traditional methods. The result is a crumbly biscuit that has been grown and baked in the Conwy Valley. We recommend this biscuit for cheese as a change from crackers but it's also good for a cup of tea.
They have a PDO which is a Protected Designation of Orgin which in short means the EU protects names of quality agricultural products like this.
They are made with Halen Mon Angelsey sea salt.
