Hafod is a small family-run brewery based on two sites in our hometown of Mold. The original 1 barrel brewery now operates as a test bed for new brews as well as making some small batch beers, like Dubbel, Hammer and our Moel Fenlli Honey Ale.
Brewer Phill was asked by the Clwydian Range AONB team to produce a range of unique beers linked to the locality in 2011, in particular using ingredients from the Clwydian Range near the brewery. Moel Famau is a delicious porter that uses smoked heather to infuse the grain and has been popular ever since its creation for both dark beer fans and as a reward/souvenir for those who've climbed the local mountain!
